Jeebus that was brutal.

Yeah, still reeling from the loss. Can't say I'm sad to see the Gov. bite it. I've been hoping for that a long time. But, Hershel? Sheesh, that's rough.
I like the idea that Lizzie killed those two and Carol is just covering for her more and more. Kid is cold as ice. I'm semi-satisfied with the Rick/Daryl talk. It just didn't last long enough, but, then, I knew it wouldn't. Well, I got my wish; they're finally out of the prison. This should mix things up a bit. I hate these mid-season breaks! |
I have to start by saying as Megan started digging up that sign, all I could think of was Cordelia's plea, "People, you've got to leave your tombs earthed!" That was the high point for hilarity though.

In any event, the moment when Carl and Rick run into Carol in their time of desperation will be an interesting scene. |
Sniff. Herschel. I haven't been this gutted by a fictional television death in a long time.
I don't believe Judith is dead - either Tyreese or Michonne has her. But I do believe that Carl and Rick think she's dead, which means lots of angst for them. I'm trying to decide who is in the worst shape: Glenn on the bus with all of the sick flu people; or Tyreese with all of the children (it's like a bad Vin Diesel or Dwayne Johnson movie!); or Sasha/Maggie with suspicious Bob; or Carl with barely functioning Rick; or ??? All I know is that Beth is with Daryl - she's fine. And Michonne is fine, on her own, or possibly with Judith. |

-- Robert Kirkman, The Talking Dead That said, some viewers swear Tyrese is seen running with his rifle slung over his shoulder and carrying some(thing)(one) in his arms, so maybe. Lily or Tara taking her seem to be popular theories as well. As for Michonne, she has to have gone off on her own thinking she's better off that way. |
Meh. I don't put too much stock into what Kirkman says; his role in these interviews is to obfuscate. If someone asked him whether or not this whole season has been a dream, he'd likely respond by saying "Who can tell?" and noting all the water imagery and references might or might not be an homage to Bobby Ewing's shower scene.
And besides -anyone who says things like "The more beloved the character, the more violent and horrible we can make their death!" is just too Whedon-like for me to take seriously. Quote:

Promo for season four.

So Tyreese saved Judith, Carol's back, and Lizzie is a psychopath. About what we expected.
|
Well, I did not expect that.
|
"They're screwing with the wrong people."
Bold words given the situation, yet Carol and Tyreese are still out there, and Beth is somewhere as well. Maybe? So not all hope is lost, I guess. Loved the second half of the season as much as the first. Can't wait 'til it's back. |
I found the finale to be fairly disappointing
|
I think if this episode had been a midseason finale I would have enjoyed it more
