A rarity in many ways:

• A remake every bit as good as the original
• A remake that isn't a carbon copy of the original;
• A remake that focuses on something different than did the original
• A remake that doesn't forget it's a remake of a very good original
• A Coen brothers movie that lived up to its hype

If you haven't seen it, I recommend it highly.

Definitely among the best remakes ever made, along with The Departed, Insomnia, Let Me In, The Fly, The Thing, etc.

Glad to see this Coen remake actually lives up to the original, unlike the last one they did.
