I think Family channel usually runs specials on holidays (Labor Day), so I think were probably looking at,

6 weeks and counting (corrected)

Damn, it's been a whole year since I've had reason to do a countdown.
That's much too long.

The Family Channel is running regular programming on Labor Day
The futon critic lists the season final being broadcast on Sept. 10th.
