Okay, here it goes, I hope this isn't terribly vague, but I've been looking for a novel, , I'm not sure of the title or author but I know the general plot.
I lawyer goes back to his hometown after a highschool girl is killed, his best friend, is a possible suspect, and he is in a relationship with one of the girl's friends that was murdred whose name I believe was Missy. I think the lawyer's name was Max, or Jack... Vauge I know but does this possible ring any bells?
