Before Angel and the gang left for Pylea to save Cordy, Angel left a voicemail or something similar on the office phone. Who was that to? Buffy? Gunn? I couldn't work it out...

That message was for Gunn. When he later joins them in the car he mentions that .. he says that Angel sounded like the captain of the titanic ;)
