It's that time of year again! Let the lessons begin....
Your mother should not wear a wilder costume than you.
Two terminators are enough- although it depends on your fantasy.
It shouldn't take two trips to your room to move your armour.
Joss Whedon shouldn't kidnap Nathan Fillion for press tours.
Ron Glass' laugh should be bottled.
Why is Ron Glass here?
White jeans/tiger print boxers are not a costume.
VH1 is addictive.
Try not to hit the waitress.
The fashion accessory for 2005 is a gargoyle resting in the cleavage.
When in doubt, just wear tattoos.
Vanilla Ice is not a sci-fi costume.
Who's the stormtrooper with the Rabbit ears?
Goth is in.
Caffeine candy beer!
Do not breast feed in the middle of a Serenity panel.
There's something sad about a short Darth Vader.
Mab's crickets chirped of death.
If you could eat Nessie or Big-foot which would it be?
Lilly has a groupie.
The Brit with the trans atlantic jet lag out partied the Americans.
Whoop! There it is!
James Marsters is in Will Wheaton's basement.
Dumbledore isn't dead, it's all a dream and he will step out of the shower any minute now....
Snape is good er... evil er... good er... evil... Dammit!
...more as and when it happens :)

When in doubt it's <strike out>anime</strike out>, <strike out>comic books</strike out>, roll playing
An adventure in a glass elevator? - Ask Lilly how!
Handcuff and a whip does not a costume make ... well, not at this con.
Laziest costume = bathrobe.
For the sake of the children, pleae wear trousers under a lab coat.
You know you've been at D*C too long when you ask the bellboy what his costume is.

Mab's crickets chirped of death.
I've got no idea what Katy's doing with crickets-and I'm not surprised at their presence at all-but the phrasing was lovely!
Lilly has a groupie.
Also no surprise. She wasn't in circulation last year cuz Rolando and I monopolized her for conversation!

Back. Tired, even after my 9 hour nap.
Think it has something to do with the cold Tara has given me. *g*
ETA: I have one for the list:
The Farscape girls are into biting *and* spanking!

Dang, you too? Tara, was your covert costume Typhoid Mary or something? :blah:
In all seriousness, I hope you and Emma take a 24-hr nap and kick your colds. I'm going to be sucking on lozenges for the next week.

Crap! Sorry Em. :erm:
Can I also add that Harry Potter panels can scar you. Especially if you're sitting between Lilly and Emma!
ETA: Kar! I completely blame the air conditioning on the plane over.

Crap! Sorry Em. :erm:
Heh, it's cool. I figured with all the unhealthy lifestyle we were all having it'd only be a matter of time before something hit me. And hey, I'm at home for the rest of the week, so better to be sick now than at D*C or at work. *g*

Dang, I missed seeing y'all so much this year! Panel reports coming soon, I hope? I hear that the Serenity panel wasn't nearly as exciting without Nathan, despite Adam giving it the old college try. And did Tricia Helfer give a panel? What did she say? How did she look? Is she as amazing in person as she is on screen? (I may switch teams for her. LOL)
Deets! We need deets!
And it sounds like y'all need some chicken soup and a day in bed with books. ;)

Shall try to quickly sum up...
Panel reports coming soon, I hope?
Yep! I'm writing mine up as we speak, may take a day or two though, as lots to report, plus have to try to read my notes and remember what they were about. LOL
I hear that the Serenity panel wasn't nearly as exciting without Nathan, despite Adam giving it the old college try.
I didn't go to that panel, since it was packed (and I'm going to another Serenity con in a few months anyway), but I'm sure one of the other girls will be able to tell you all about it. The twinses perhaps?
And did Tricia Helfer give a panel?
Two!
How did she look?
Wonderful. Had my photo taken with her too. Of course she looks stunning as always.
Is she as amazing in person as she is on screen?
Yes! She gave very thoughful answers to questions etc.
I have 7 minutes of video, 150 odd pics for you all too. Once the report is done I'll put them all up.
I have posted two teaser pics over at my LJ here (http://www.livejournal.com/users/_projectgalem/243569.html) though to tide people over.
I'll also be posting con vids from End of Days, LFACC, Invasion and other cons too in a few moments, so if you want to see (soundless) video forrage of Buffy, Angel (CC!), Who and BSG people etc, check those out.

Kel! We missed you too! :) The shiny from meeting Tricia Helfer has yet to wear off. :o One of my favourite little moments of the Con came when queueing to get her autograph. (Thanks Kar!)The guy in front was having his photo taken with her and so engrossed was he in looking at the camera that he completely missed that Tricia was looking at him like she would Baltar as Six. Lovely.

I can't decide whether to laugh or shiver. LOL!
Hugs to you and Mike. Did he spend the entire weekend gaming? Hee!

LOL, don't lick me now, you might get my cold!
I'm only on to the beginning of Saturday and the thing is already 3 pages long. Think I better take a break before my fingers fall off!

Apparently not! But the winner was pelted with dead tribbles, according the Daily Dragon. ;)

I know, I was very happy with those! They had good lighting there. Still isn't stropping me from buying a new camera <s>as sono as I get paid</s> though with lots of extra goodies on! :D

Hee! Lindsey (my ten-yr-old, corrupt them early, they make better companions that way!) and I asked not one, but two pretty boys about their chainmail shirts on Sat night, one had fine mail and the other coarse, and they *both* took off their shirts for us to hold *ahem* :clearsthroat:
Lucky us also ran into an older man with gorgeous cut-work, kinda lacy chainmail, and it turns out he's from St. Pete and makes his own, as well as jewelry. He teaches workshops! And doesn't mind if my homeschooling kids come, so we are going over to visit him. LaLa? Are you here? Do you want to go with?
Yep, T, we are home, with Ophelia knock, knock, knockin... Rain, rain, go away. She's back up to Hurricane status, but apparently won't be landing on FL's doorstep. :whew: Did ya'll see thw Weather Channel broadcasting from our dissappearing beach (Ormond) and bridge?? The bridge over the Halifax River is right in front of our second home, the library.
My fave moments from D*C were seeing the first screening of "God of Vampires", the robot wars, and watching a gorgeous boy strip to his black briefs and shimmy into a midthigh chainmail shirt at the Crossed Swords booth in the Dealer's room. My husband ran smack into me when I stopped cold to watch, but then rolled his eyes, and came back to get me twenty minutes later after I'd helped get the little belt thing figured out for said gorgeous boy when it turned out to be waaay too big for his tiny, built waist  My hubby's a good guy. Couldn't talk him into a utilikilt, though... I'm stuck on chainmail this year, apparently...
The short films were good, my six-year-old loved "Rattus Pisstofficus", an animation/live action that won the Best Animated Comedy award. And both girls got to meet and speak to the Weasley boys/Phelps brothers and a bona fide hero, astronaut Dick Gordon. We threw the Phelps and their handlers off and caused a bit of a stir by giving them a Daniel Radcliffe signed Harry Potter script to sign. Apparently that's a no-no. Whoops! At least we got it back.
The Goth track was once again interesting this year, with Southern Horror and the dark side discussion pretty interesting. And the Cruxshadows made an appearance in this track. I wish all the bands present had a chance to discuss their work. The writer's track had a couple of strong panels, and Lindsey enjoyed the HP in Young Adult Lit. But the best panel by far all weekend for me was the one on storyboarding. Lots of useful info for scriptwriters aiming for the independant/low budget market. If anyone's interested, drop me a note, and I'll share with you.
Speaking of sharing- Did you and Mike make the Fanfic/Fansite legal panel after all, Trill?
Sorry I missed you, Lil! Katy and Em both looked wonderful and glowy all weekend, and apparently CA really agrees with Mike and Trill. The Labor day dinner and conversation was great, KarKar, I'm sooo glad we got to sit down with you :mwah: It was great seeing all ya'll!
Laurie
