Charisma Says Hi! [Archive] - Stranger Things Forum

I've got a few minutes to spare whilst we wait for one of the talks to start at the London Film and Comic Con, so I thought I'd post quickly about meeting Charisma.

It was only very brief as she had a lot of people to get through (she was one of the most, if not the most, popular guests there) but she was so very nice, waving at the people in the crowd. And if you can believe it, she was even prettier in person too. Anyway, after she'd finished signing the photo I'd given her I mentioned that we'd come from Stranger Things to see her, and she looked pretty surprised. She asked me to say hi to all her fans here, so hi!

Sadly, we couldn't really get any decent photographs as she didn't want flash photography (not that I can blame her as it does look annoying) but hopefully somebody else did. I know at the start people were allowed close ups and she was even posing for them, too.

Anyway, I have to go. Times up. More when I get back :)

Forgive me if this comes out rambly but... I just met Charisma. *dies of geeker joy*

I followed Darlakane, Kika and Andrea in the queue to get autographs and Charisma said, "Are you a Stranger too?" I was like, "Yes!" LOL. I gathered from that that Kika had told her she was a Stranger 'cause we were all standing together. :) Charisma signed my photograph of her (pretty Seaon One promo shot), I told her it was really great to meet her and then we were on our way.

We went back later on for the John Barrowman talk and tried to get in some pictures of Charisma while we were loitering around, heh. I got a couple (not really many 'cause the stewards there were all "no photos") but some of them didn't look to be all that good quality, unfortunately. Plus, there was this big dude with an even bigger arm who kept standing in my way. Grrrr. :evileye:

I still managed to get one taken with her after taking one of her with some random convention goer (lol) 'cause he didn't have anyone else to take the picture. The others were gonna try and get one taken too until the steward got all pissy and "no photos" again.

Charisma was really nice about it and told him "just one more and then we're done" so I got my photo with her after all. :) She's so nice!

Just finished the con for the day. We were fortunate enough to be able to go back to see Charisma a second time as there was a short lull in the queue. We asked if she'd pose for a photo, which she happily agreed to. Unfortunately, she'd only managed to do one other personal photo (with some guy who'd went up to ask with us) before a steward came across and told her no more photos were allowed. Charisma told him just one more so Christie (angelicgal82) luckily managed to get one of the two of them together. It was very sweet of her.

Oh, and Emma? We saw you in the John Barrowman talk but totally missed you on the way out. One year we'll catch you *g*

Oh yeah, CC. Heh. Saw her early on, no phosed photos sadly but I did get a few of her, not sure how they turned out though, shall have to check later.

I got a copy of the UK CC ad signed, where she found out I designed it (cos, you know, I may have mentioned it. LOL). She said it was wonderful and so was I, so I was a happy bunny.

I also have a ST pressie soon I'll scan for you soon, as is my tradition, and she said <i>'You guys are wonderful, you've done so much for me'</i>.

Of course when I was talking to her, she couldn't hear me so I had to keep leaning closer and closer and closer, and then my attention kinda drifted to how nice her skin was and how pretty she was lol. Had to stay focused.

FYI, for those interesed in the rest of LFACC (Who, Firefly), I'm posting those reports and photos in my Live Journal (http://www.livejournal.com/users/_projectgalem/), so head over there for those. Should be posting stuff as soon as I've eaten.

One pack of sweets to live off all day. Am starved!

ETA: All my photos of CC turned out rubbish. Shall have a play in hopes of saving some, but I'm doubtful, they're giving my motion sickness. LOL

Perhaps tomorrow I'll have more luck.

Penny, if you ever do set up that interview, it would make me feel a lot better. I still sometimes beat myself up about looking like an idiot that night of "Cats and Dogs" when I didn't know we were even trying for an interview. So, interview = good, argel looking stupid = bad. ;)

Once again, hooray for all the Con-goers who represented for the rest of us Strangers. I hope your entire con experience was as good as meeting Charisma. :)

As a non english speaker here so some ways of saying are confussing to me sometimes, but the "she has a film coming out on Lifeline at some point" is for Voodoo Moon or Harvest Moon, wich she filmed early thi year and it's going to be released later or for a new movie? Also what's Lifeline?

Th'sheeze?! "Harvest Moon" and a Lifetime movie as well? Or did Lifetime -- I'm assuming that's what she said -- actually buy HM's broadcast rights? Someone needs to get clarification tomorrow! Anybody...? Bueller...?

Val, Lifetime -- again, I'm assuming that's the actual place -- is a U.S. cable network. It's the network that aired "The Division," on which CC made a well regarded guest appearance. They air a lot of made-for-TV movies, always with appealing female leads, so it seems kinda natural that they'd want at least one of them with CC as the star.

We were about half way back, which meant we just about managed to see his head *g*

He was lovely though, very funny and charming. And really quite cute. I never realised how much before. He certainly made himself a few new fans after that, judging by the way the queue for his autograph swelled after he'd finished.

She's so much prettier in real life, which I'm sure everybody else was thinking too. On the totally superficial note, standing next to her in that photo was like, "omg, we both know I'm gonna look bad - look at her!" LOL

Her hair was long, gorgeous and curly. We actually got our promo pics because her hair was most like it was back in S1 - around Parting Gifts-ish - so very nice. :) ETA: *points to icon* Kinda like that but a bit darker, a bit longer and still prettier.

What else can you say except tanned, toned, pretty and "guh" without coming off stalkerish? She was just... Mmmm. LOL

She was wearing this black shirt on the morning, as I recall, with another shirt underneath it. And pretty beads, if I remember right. I do remember looking at them and thinking, "oh God STOP IT, she'll think you're ogling her breasts!" :lol:

(I bet Kika or someone can describe her better than me.) LOL

I went back today, and it was much quieter, so I managed to get some photos of her. They didn't say they weren't allowing flash, but I didn't use it just to make sure, so not sure how they look yet. Once again she was doing posed photos, but then stopped later on, before she changed it so she'd pose with children, which I thought was nice of her.

I mananged to get a few silent vids of her too, including one of her sneakily eating a chocolate bar. As Charlie said to me, I'm sure she's really gald I've got that on film. LOL

LOL. I have one photo of yesterday up which you can find in this post somewhere (http://www.livejournal.com/users/_projectgalem/222883.html). It was black and thats all I can remember.

Today she wore this white dress, the peasant skirt kinda look thats going round, and later she had a cardie over it. I'll see if I can post a photo in a bit.

It was real pretty though, and her hair was lovely. :)

Judging both of Em's pictures, it does look like she's wearing a ring on that finger, but it isn't always guaranteed to be a wedding ring. She was wearing one on the same finger in the Thank-You ad.

No, she was very busy though, and we know she's not super comfortable doing them, so I wasn't surprised. They did have an 'Angel' talk though, but with Adam Baldwin instead.

About the confussion of the play ,according to a post at the Convention forum she said WOULD LIKE to do a play. She didn't have any immediate plans.

And from what I read at her thread at that forum seems that she was trying to cheat the No Photos thing possing while the people was distracted. And when there was a baby she kept trying to guess the age and saying how much she missed her son. And also said she played peek-a-boo with a few babies.

Isn't she great?

Judging from the pics, it certainly looks like a gold wedding band as opposed to just a regular ring. Just my humble opinion, though. Does that help any?

couple of things,

also a couple of posts up from that is one where the poster (7ate9) claims to work for a world class film company, and they want CC for a project.

i also noticed in a lot of the pictures and on the website, a big presence by Dreamwatch,
if they are one of the sponsors, maybe we will see an interview in the magezine in a couple of months

Wow, thanks for the link. From what I read at the Convention forum. CC was pretty popular, probably one of the most, at there. She really caused a great impression. Even when it was a little rushed (according to several post) but mostly because the crew and not her.
Cross my fingers for this. But if that company was a sponsor, the great reception CC's presence caused could be a good reference....

I managed to capture a <a href="http://www.tragic-reality.net/cc.avi"> video clip</a> of Charisma whilst waiting in the queue. It's very short and unfortunately of a poor quality, but the smile she gives when she looks up is pretty cute.

Nice Kika, very nice. At the risk of gushing again, her smile really does light up a room, doesn't it?

I managed to get her auto on Saturday and the queue was pretty short. She was kind enough to let me get a photo of her while she was signing.
