Hey, kids -- because I know it's not a Stranger party without porn and Jell-O shots, here's a thread especially for that.
Please remember that this is not a venting forum. Let's stick to celebration and good clean (or dirty) fun. The admins reserve the right to edit and/or delete any post for any reason, so no namecalling? Puhleeeeeeeze?

Cordelia Chase, the heart of AtS. Godspeed, my lovely. Godspeed.
She was beautiful! Absolutely beautiful! And I never realized how much I missed Cordelia! Plus she walked back in with full Queen C glory.
This show isn't the same without her. She broke my heart tonight (but in a good way).

I don't know if I'm composed, but I'm gonna try here.
Cordelia, there's no other way to thank you but to say you blessed us. With your presence, your style, your wit, your charm, and your heart. *raises the first of many glasses of champagne tonight* To Queen C! Long may she live in our hearts!
Charisma Carpenter is a wonderful, amazing, gorgeous actress, and she made this all possible. She's at least half the reason we're the community we are, and I love her for that and so much more.
THANK YOU, CHARISMA!!!!

I can't think of new words. So, if you'll all pardon my taking the liberty, I'm just going to paraphrase part of what we sent her in our "Thank You" message last year.
Because Cordy is way cooler than the rest of them...
Because she's never the runner-up, and always our Queen...
Because we love the old Cordy *and* the new Cordy (We love 'em both!)...
Because Cordy is stronger than any of them realized...
Because Cordy truly is an extraodinary woman...
Because we've never seen anyone like her...
And because we know Charisma is going to achieve her inevitable stardom, and we'll be with her when she does...
Because Charisma's talent, wit, charm and beauty inspired us to tune in for seven years and one episode of homecoming queens, visions and vampires, and we were privileged to witness the transformation of Cordelia Chase from cheerleader to champion... and hero.
Thank You!
Now someone pass me a jello shot!

As someone who was totally unspoiled for the end (and, as a result, STILL in shock), I'd just like to say that the last seven years have been truly spectacular.
Wow.
Thank you Charisma for bringing Cordelia Chase to life and making her as special and as unique as only you could have portrayed her. Cordy wouldn't have been Cordy without you.

I told my hubby tonight that I didn't realize how much my equilibrium depended on watching Angel every week. Tuning in, seeing the gang together doing what they do best fueled my creativity, gave me a routine and led me to my friends here at ST. Not bad, for a TV show.
I didn't start watching b/c of Cordy, but I ended up being her champion. Damn, I loved this show. And I love CC for coming back and letting me say good-bye.
Someone pass me the tequila. I wanna get DRUNK with my friends!

Let me add my toast to the heart of Ats as she's proven tonight. I hadn't realized how much I truly missed her spark, her incredibly delivery and the texture she adds to every scene she's in, even whne she's in the back just looking at Angel and focusing our attention.
this just makes me sad, imagining what could've been.

"All Good Things" was wonderful and in my opinion, much better than Generations. When this was mentioned, I knew the episode had to be good.
[Any Babylon 5 fans might also here mention SIL. As I've been thinking of Cordy as Angel's Ivanova, this might have extra resonance.]
Anyway, been reading the subtext thread. Sounds like it was great, and I hope the last line was delivered as well as I imagined when I read it. Might have to ask a friend for a copy of the episode.

To:
Cordelia- Thank you for all the laughter and tears you gave us all through out the eight years of BtVS and AtS. You are a true hero in the finest sense of the word, and you stayed loyal to your friends to the end, and never stopped believing in them. We love you.
Charisma Carpenter: Thank you for bring a character to life so vividly and in such a believable way that we stayed with this character until she grew and developed into a strong, empowered, courageous and yet compassionate woman that girls everywhere can look up to. Forget "Every girl can have that power. Every girl can be a Slayer". It's now "Every girl can be a Cordelia. Every girl can stand up for what's right, just, and true." :D
Thank you and I wish you continued success in all your future endeavours.

Thank you Charisma for portraying a character that has won her way into the hearts on this board.

I remember the first episode i watched was "Untouched" and i found her character so cool, really. She was the only girl among 3 men and the way she talked and interacted with them impressed me. I wasn't a C/A fan right from the start, i liked Wes/Cordy (i loved their scenes together) and Angel/Darla. And although the storylines were interesting, what kept me watching was the hope that next episode would be a Cordy-centric one.
Then i started to inform myself about the show on the net and i learned that CC and DB were on the show Buffy before, which i never watched (when i learnd that some of my friends watch/ed the show, i was like... really? why?:p ). I read a lot about the show and the actors and so i became a big CC fan. And then i started to read different foras and i learned about the "B/A forever" crowed and this very crowed (who seemed to dominate every Angel fora) was very nasty toward the character of Cordelia an even CC. So i was glad that i found ST, i think a link was posted on the WB board. And i learned that there actually were Cordy and C/A fans. I started to read the C/A subtext threads and fell in love with the C/A ship and i started looking out for subtext every episode (that was toward the end of season two, here in Austria).
Well, i'll always love the character of Cordelia and thank you CC for portraying her so well, in good and in bad (season 4) times!

She looked absolutley gorgeous, stunning, amazing. Her acting was even better. She plays this character so well and to watch what she's become is just utterly speechless.

I think the most powerful thing you can say about Cordelia as a character is she was so much a part of two different series that when she left each, she was never replaced, no matter how many characters were brought on to try. It's been an absolute pleasure to get to know her.
My most powerful tribute to Charisma Carpenter is she is the one who breathed life into this character, often times with little or no script support.
I look forward to Charima's future endeavors. May she find another character as worthy of her as Cordelia Chase was.

This 100th was awesome. I haven't had the chance to watch it last night but I finally saw it and it totally had me rewinding at the end. That scene just made me choke up.
Charisma did a wonderful job!!!! I give her props, kudos whatever! I'm just speechless at the moment. I hope to see her in more shows...cause I am there watching. Cause like y'all I'm on the fan-wagon.
And one more thing I know I was rambling up there and still probably am. Because I was not spoiled. But I just realized that when Cordelia was in Angel's room watching the old tape, she said the "first to go down". I guess in away she was telling him that she was next. Something like that. But this 100th is the last of Angel for me. So I shall raise my glass and say adieu to what once was.

Charisma/Cordelia
You are the reason I watched Angel in the first place. If you hadn't been there, I never would have watched. Likewise, I watched the 100th episode solely for you. I didn't need to see the episodes this year that preceded it, and I don't need to see the ones that follow.
Cordelia may have started out as the bitch we love to hate, but she became the hero we all love. And she will never be forgotten.
Charisma, you truly gave us a gift, and you have my undying loyalty, respect and admiration. This Bud's for you, girlfriend!
Oh, what the hell...I'm gonna buy a round for the room. Cheers.

Cordy simply was one of the most beautiful attributes to AtS and BtVS. I am going to miss the C/A'shippyness of Angel. It's not going to be the same without her. From the minute Charisma walked onto the set, she owned it man. Everything and everyone around her just seemed to light up and she brought such an element to the show itself. I'll admit I kind of wished her and Doyle would have had a little more of a chance, but to see her almost end up with Angel and then now she's gone and neither one of them can be together, that's a little hard to deal with. I mean if you think about, we spent eight years watching her and this is all we get left of her?
As beautiful as this episode was, as fitting and right as the kiss was, it's just hard after all of this time to let her go. It's like it's almost too big to take in. I started crying from the very beginning of the episode and kept crying through out. I'm not sure where I cried harder and in which parts. I know it was the video of Doyle that made me cry where Cordy was talking about understanding why he did what he did. Such a beautiful charismatic lady.

Like I said, I needed some time to process.
A couple years ago when I studied Plato's theory of forms in philosophy class, I got a silly idea. In a way, fictional characters actually do exist in some capacity. When someone creates a character like the ones we come to love so much, they create a person who exists only in the plane of thought and feeling, but who exists nonetheless. So even though Cordelia Chase is not an actual, tangible, physical person, or even a person with whom we can interact at all, she is real in that strange, unexplainable way that all fiction is somehow real to us. Does this make any sense? It has to, because I don't know how else to explain why I am so sad that a bunch of writers decided to pen the death of a television character who has never existed on this Earth. More than any other character death I have seen or read, Cordelia's felt real to me.
My respect for Charisma has no bounds. Without her, there would be no Cordelia. She made Cordelia real for me and so many others. She deserves a thousand thank you's and so much more. She is immensely talented.

More than any other character death I have seen or read, Cordelia's felt real to me.
Me too. She is real. I cried more for her death than anyone I know in real life who has died because it feels so real. I will miss C/A ship so much. A part of me goes with her.
I feel the same way. Cordelias death made me cry as if it had been a person in my real life who died. I know it seems strange to be mourning for someone who has never existed in the real world but I can´t fight my feelings.
I´ll never set my heart so much on any television character again because it´s too painful.
